Ballyhoo is based out of Gadsden, Alabama, and are a band known for paint-peelin’, balls-out rock-n-roll.  The band consists of Chris – vocals and rhythm guitar, Brett  – drums and vocals, Justin – bass and vocals, and Kevin – lead guitar and background vocals.  Together, they unleash a brand of powerful, guitar-driven songs covering many genres of rock, including classic rock, metal, grunge, alternative, and funk. 

Ballyhoo was hatched in the mid-90’s, consisting of Chris  (Father Time, Slapback) and Justin  (Slapback) on guitar, and later Kevin  (Dyers Eve, Fiction, Slapback) also on guitar. Chris, Justin, and Kevin had been in various lineups together through much of the mid to late 90’s.  As evolution would have it, Justin, being an accomplished bassist as well as guitarist, jumped into the bassist position.  After several lineup changes, Brett  (Outlander) was brought in on the skins in 2002, and Ballyhoo was complete.

Live, Ballyhoo yields a powerful batch of songs that center around Chris' larger-than-life vocals, reminding you of the power of Chris Cornell with a dose of Gregg Allman’s whiskey-laden soul.  Add Kevin’s animalistic fretwork, Brett's backbeat backbone, Justin’s aggressive, pounding rhythms, and you have all the ingredients for a packed out house and a night of entertaining, energetic mayhem.  With the ability to jump from Alice in Chains to The Commodores, the band can turn on a dime, and do so…often!
